The BodyGuard proximity detection and warning system (collision avoidance system) has been designed to help improve safety in the workplace. It does this by providing a warning when objects are in close proximity and thereby reducing risk of collision.

BodyGuard has a programmable detection zone.

Typically a detection zone is set up at the rear of a vehicle where visibility can be obstructed and the risk of collision is higher. The BodyGuard proximity detection and warning system can also be configured for multiple safety zones on large vehicles and machinery.

Technical Specification

The BodyGuard proximity detection and warning system is NOT intended to provide a total solution but is intended to provide an additional layer of safety (an aid for driver awareness) as part of existing safety processes. BodyGuard is not intended or implied to replace duty of care and diligence of the vehicle operator/s and/or other staff to work in a safe manner. The circular detection patterns shown are for conceptual illustration purpose only and do not represent the actual detection zone shape or coverage. The zone shape and size depends on the vehicle and environment it is operating within. Due do the variety of vehicles, different environments and applications; the system cannot be assured to detect objects under all circumstances or regions around the vehicle.

Reversing vehicles create a high-risk situation. Poor visibility may affect the driver's ability to see a person behind them. The risk of collision can result in possible injury, damage, expensive downtime and Health and Safety investigation. With BodyGuard fitted: An object detected in the proximitty detection zone will alert the driver to make driver aware of the risk and therefore help reduce the risk of a collusion. Improvement to your safety risk in turn can improve your bottom line. The BodyGuard proximity warning system provides an effective method of helping to protect people, vehicles,machinery and property from injury and damage.

The BodyGuard proximity detection and warning system is user-configurable. The user can set the size of the desired safety zone as required for the application

The built-in proximity History Log provides an ideal tool for managing risk and improving your safety policies and procedures. The log includes the date , time, type and iD of object detected, relative proximity between the objects and whether the object was entering or leaving the safety zone.
