Industrial DIN-Rail PC from Welotec with 4G LTE
The fan less embedded box pc Arrakis has been specifically developed for the requirements in the control cabinet. For mounting it uses the mandatory TS-35 DIN rail. For easy installation and cabling all the interfaces are placed on the front panel, which saves valuable space in the control cabinet.
As a fanless DIN rail PC, the Arrakis is very well protected against the ingress of dust. Carefully selected components with very low power dissipation and a passive cooling system allow fanless operation in combination with a very wide operating temperature range of -20° C to + 70° C. Thus this embedded DIN rail PC is excellently prepared for the harsh conditions in industrial environments.
In this case abandoning active cooling comes without sacrificing performance. The Arrakis utilizes Intel's powerful Atom E3845 4-core processor. With it's built-in 4 GB industrial memory and an mSATA flash memory or a 2.5-inch SSD, the Arrakis provides enough power for the most common applications.
The DIN rail PCs can be used as a remote computer in many applications, including gateway, soft PLC and local web server for processing data.
Possible applications are soft PLC for system control as well as remote maintenance PC with integrated LTE. It also transmits status messages such as temperature, machine hours or error messages. In addition, IP cameras can be connected to monitor.
For the use as a gateway and to connect controllers the Arrakis DIN rail PC has many interfaces. These include two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, four serial ports (RS-232, 422 and 485), two USB ports, one VGA monitor port and optional four digital inputs and four digital outputs.
The Arrakis has a wide input voltage of 9 V DC to 36 V DC via a screw on the front. Thus, the Arrakis can be operated with 12 V DC as well as with 24 V DC.
Besides the standard version there is also a version with integrated LTE available. The module is backward compatible and supports both LTE and HSPA +, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS.
