Surgere, an AI-powered supply chain visibility SaaS company, has named Nykaj Nair as the company’s first chief revenue officer, an important step forward as Surgere seeks to drive significant new growth, enter new industries and deliver boundary-pushing solutions for customers everywhere.

Nair brings more than two decades of experience in business development, sales and leadership for global companies. Most recently, Nair served as the managing director and general manager for global IoT sales for Cisco, a worldwide software, networking, security, computing and technology company. There, he led strategy on Cisco’s internet of things (IoT) solutions, experience he will draw on to take Surgere into a new era.

“Supply chain uncertainty is a massive challenge for global industry and Surgere has a tremendous opportunity to remove that uncertainty by providing real-time visibility and intelligence,” Nair said. “I believe that this team truly has the opportunity to change the world and I couldn’t be more excited to help drive our next phase of growth through initiatives and the accelerated, worldwide adoption of our unique platform.”

The chief revenue officer position has emerged in forward-thinking organisations as a critical leadership role for driving holistic revenue growth strategies. At Surgere, Nair will unify marketing, sales and service delivery to create a streamlined, customer-centric approach that optimises every stage of the revenue cycle.

“Nykaj’s business development and strategic acumen speak for themselves and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him to Surgere,” said William Wappler, the CEO at Surgere. “This company started at my kitchen table in 2004. The sky has always been the limit for our growth potential and we firmly believe Nykaj will be instrumental as we capitalise on the supply chain technology market and accelerate the growth of our platform.”

Prior to his tenure at Cisco, Nair held leadership and management positions at Ingram Micro, Canon and Tech Pacific (India) Limited. He holds his bachelor of engineering degree from Bangalore University and his master of business administration degree from Queensland University of Technology.
