ioXt Alliance, a global standard for IoT security, has announced its contribution to and general support for the development of NISTIR (National Institute of Standards and Technology Interagency or Internal Report) 8425, a publication by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) that outlines a US national label programme for IoT devices. Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), an EchoStar company, announced that Africa Mobile Networks (AMN), has selected the Hughes JUPITER System ground platform to backhaul 2G, 3G and 4G cellular network traffic in Madagascar and Nigeria. AMN will use Hughes JUPITER gateways and remote terminals to link hundreds of cellular towers via satellite.
