Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) has announced public release of Get Ready for Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) 7: Applying new capabilities to the key use cases, a report that explores how this technology will change the way people worldwide live, work and play. Based on the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) 802.11be (extreme high throughput) standard, Wi-Fi 7 has a variety of advanced capabilities. Peachtree Corners announced that Clevon is joining the city’s Curiosity Lab ecosystem. This calculator estimates embodied and operational carbon avoidance through the adoption of Tellabs optical local area network (LAN) for smart buildings and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.

Vodacom South Africa (VSA) has partnered with the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) to ensure that traffic signals along major intersections operate during load shedding. This partnership managed by the JRA and facilitated through a service level agreement (SLA) will leverage electricity sourced from Vodacom’s adjacent buildings to power traffic lights. (more…)

Gogoro Inc., and Far EasTone Telecom have announced the deployment of their jointly-developed smart traffic signal uninterruptible power system (UPS) to nearly 200 of Taipei City’s busiest intersections utilising Gogoro smart batteries.
