Butler Electric Cooperative selects Conexon to deliver FTTH network in south central Kansas

Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.

EE connects more remote Highlands locations to 4G

EE has collaborated with several partners, including the Scottish Government, the Scottish Futures Trust, and WHP Telecoms, to deliver 4G connectivity across remote areas in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. This joint effort has led to the installation of 13 new 4G masts as part of the Scottish Government’s €28.75 million Scottish 4G Infill programme (S4GI), aimed at extending 4G infrastructure and services to rural areas that previously suffered from severely limited mobile coverage. Vodafone, DCC partner to upgrade Britain’s smart meter system

Vodafone has signed a services agreement to provide 4G connectivity for Britain’s smart meter network. The partnership between Vodafone and DCC (Data Communications Company) is an agreement for up to 15 years to build and operate 4G managed IoT (internet of things) connectivity for Britain’s smart meter network, which securely connects more than half of homes to energy suppliers and operators and is managed and run by DCC.
