Harmonic has announced that telecommunications service provider Claro Perú, of the América Móvil group, is extending Harmonic’s CableOS Broadband Platform for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) to sustainably deliver next-gen broadband and 10Gbps speeds. Openreach is warning that the communities risk missing out on an once-in-a-lifetime full fibre upgrade, if they don’t apply for free government broadband vouchers. Once they have them, they can be used to secure faster speeds and greater reliability.

Enea has signed a contract for traffic management with a service provider in North Africa. The solution is part of the customer’s modernisation of mobile and fixed broadband and enables efficient management of services and data traffic, along with enhanced quality of experience. The agreement includes software licenses, professional services, and product support. Software licenses corresponding to a value of $1.4 million (€1.28 million) are recognised in the third quarter of 2023, while remaining parts of the agreement are delivered during the coming year. The total contract value is USD 2.0 million.
