Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) has announced public release of Get Ready for Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) 7: Applying new capabilities to the key use cases, a report that explores how this technology will change the way people worldwide live, work and play. Based on the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) 802.11be (extreme high throughput) standard, Wi-Fi 7 has a variety of advanced capabilities. The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) announced the publication of a technical report outlining a new operator-managed Wi-Fi (OMWi) reference architecture. The proposed framework will combine multiple available standards to streamline Wi-Fi data collection, Wi-Fi management, configuration, and optimisation of home networks, simplifying the analysis and decision-making process for carriers. Tokyo, Japan – Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has announced its initial development kit that includes support for the new Matter protocol.
