The market disruptions due to Covid-19 pandemic will result in a 25% Year on Year (YoY) decrease in annual smart meter shipments in 2020. The G3-PLC Alliance reports that its G3-PLC Alliance member Iskraemeco has acquired a major public procurement project which was led by the company SODO system operator of the electricity distribution network d.o.o. , on behalf of four regional utilities: Elektro Ljubljana, Elektro Maribor, Elektro Primorska and Elektro Celje. Iskraemeco will supply G3-PLC smart meters that will be installed in households and transformer stations. (more…)

Eagle Eye Networks, a provider of cloud video surveillance, announced today one of the fastest completions of a large scale, fully integrated city-wide surveillance program, installing 13,720 cameras in 4 months. This project has been a large success for Mexico City C5, contributing to Mexico City’s larger “Citizen Safety” mobile application.
