New eSIM module solution for space-constrained cellular IoT

SIMCom, the designer and manufacturer of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) wireless modules and solutions, announced that the SIMCom NB-IoT SIM7070 module measuring only 24 mm x 24 mm can now be equipped with a compact eSIM security controller from Infineon powered by GSMA-compliant remote SIM management software provided by Kigen (UK) Ltd. eSIMs device installations to reach 3.4 billion globally by 2025

A new Juniper Research study found that the number of eSIMs installed in connected devices will increase from 1.2 billion in 2021, to 3.4 billion in 2025; representing a growth of 180%. eSIMs are modules that are embedded directly into devices; providing cellular connectivity and storing multiple network operator profiles.
