Shelly Group’s smart control app now available in Audi Cars

Shelly Group AD brings a native version of its Shelly Smart Control App to select Audi models. To this end, the Shelly Smart Control app based on the Android Automotive OS will be available in the Audi Application Store. Customers can thus use the user-friendly range of functions for intelligent home automation intuitively via the familiar user interface of their vehicle’s infotainment system. This includes, for example, automatically opening and closing the garage door, and switching on the lights in the garage, in other rooms or throughout the house when coming home or leaving the house.

The integration of the Shelly Smart Control app into the Audi Application Store is carried out in cooperation with CARIAD, Volkswagen Group’s software company and Harman Ignite. It gives customers access to a wide variety of popular third-party apps, which are integrated into the infotainment system of the car. Regular online updates keep the apps in the infotainment system up to date.

TALQ Consortium unveils enhanced smart city protocol

The TALQ Consortium has released a new version 2.6.0 of its Smart City Protocol. Continuous evolution of the protocol ensures the interface standard constantly adapts to changing market needs. Version 2.6.0 introduces a new Cabinet Control profile, an extension of active periods and new commands for colour lights – the latter being aligned with the DALI-2 (IEC 82386) Part 209 definition. AmpliTech partners with Open6G OTIC for 5G testing

The Open6G Open Testing and Integration Centre (OTIC) at the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (WIoT) at Northeastern University have announced entering into a partnership and contractual agreement with AmpliTech Group, a NASDAQ company, to perform 5G interoperability testing (IoT) and conformance testing of AmpliTech’s newly released, O-RAN CAT B 64T64R MIMO radio unit (O-RU). This activity will take place at the Open6G OTIC in Boston and Burlington, Massachusetts.
