Juniper Networks, a provider of secure, AI-driven networks, has announced that the University of Tokyo (UTokyo), renowned and ranked as amongst the prestigious universities in Asia, has selected Juniper’s AP32 Access Points to provide a wireless experience across its campuses enabling flexible management. These networking upgrades will enable the multiple departments in UTokyo to deliver a high-speed wireless network infrastructure to its 48,000 students and faculty actively engaged in learning and research across 10 faculties and 15 graduate schools. pSemi Corporation, a Murata company skilled in the design and development of semiconductor integration, has announced two multi-chip modules featuring dual-channel switches, a PE53230 for 3.3–3.8 GHz and a PE53231 for 3.5–4.0 GHz. Each module contains two switches and two LNAs for high and low band frequencies. The new module portfolio delivers the low noise figure in the industry, at less than 1 dB, enabling receiver sensitivity and performance while handling 20W average input power enabling removal of external circuitry. Laser Light Companies and Nokia have agreed on a $25 million (€22.88) (USD) Beta Programme to commence the deployment of Laser Light’s planned global all-optical network. In the agreement, Laser Light will use Nokia optical and IP solutions and technologies to enable the first stage of its planned Extended Ground Network System (“XGNS”) to reach and serve diverse locations. Following the initial Beta in Australia, other Beta locations are planned for the United States, Chile, Spain, and Africa later this year. When completed, Laser Light and Nokia’s Beta Programme will operate a meshed global platform connecting 5 continents, enabling demonstration of advanced data services and the platform to support integration activities ahead of the global commercial network.
