Infineon debuts highly integrated iMOTION IMI110 series for low-power devices

Infineon Technologies AG launches the new intelligent power module (IPM) series iMOTION IMI110. The series combines the iMOTION Motion Control Engine (MCE) with a three-phase gate driver and 600 V/2 A or 600 V/4 A IGBTs in a compact DSO-22 package. The integrated motor controller series is suitable for motors in small and large household appliances as well as fans and pumps with typically 70 W output power. NIST selects Ascon algorithms to protect data on IoT, small devices

Lightweight electronics, meet the heavyweight champion for protecting your information: Security experts at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has announced a victor in their program to find a worthy defender of data generated by small devices. Nordic Semiconductor debuts nRF7002 companion IC to create to create low power Wi-Fi 6 IoT applications

Nordic Semiconductor has announced the availability of the nRF7002 Wi-Fi 6 companion IC and its associated nRF7002 Development Kit (DK). The IC is the first in Nordic’s Wi-Fi product family and is a low power Wi-Fi 6 companion IC providing dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz) connectivity. The nRF7002 IC can be used together with Nordic’s nRF52 and nRF53 Series multiprotocol Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) and the nRF9160 cellular IoT (LTE-M/NB-IoT) System-in-Package (SiP), but can equally be used in conjunction with non-Nordic host devices. The DK makes it easy for developers to get started on nRF7002-based IoT projects. (more…)

Renesas announces its initial Wi-Fi development kit with support for Matter protocol

Tokyo, Japan – Renesas Electronics Corporation, a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has announced its initial development kit that includes support for the new Matter protocol. Renesas also announced that it will offer Matter support on all future Wi-Fi, Bluetooth low Energy (LE) and IEEE 802.15.4 (Thread) products, including products from recently acquired Dialog Semiconductor and Celeno Communications. Morse Micro, AzureWave deliver Wi-Fi HaLow module in IoT environments

Morse Micro, a semiconductor company reinventing Wi-Fi for the Internet of Things (IoT), has announced a partnership with AzureWave Technologies, Inc., a provider of wireless connectivity and image processing solutions.
