Bluetooth 5 Long Range drone tracker enables compliance with remote ID regulations

Japanese IoT solutions company, Braveridge, has launched a low power drone tracking and regulatory compliance solution designed for drone manufacturers to integrate into their products. The ‘Remote ID’ device can transmit the drone’s published ID and precise position via Nordic nRF52840 SoC-enabled Bluetooth 5 Long Range connectivity. In addition, Braveridge has developed a Remote ID receiver and associated iOS/Android smartphone app to display, monitor, and record the orbit of multiple drones on a map.

King Steel joins Forces with Siemens to bring Taiwan to the forefront of green manufacturing

5 September 2022 – Taiwan King Steel Machinery Co. and German multinational conglomerate Siemens have joined Forces, in collaboration with industrial equipment supplier Ruhyih Automation, to begin integrating digital twin technologies into injection molding machines. The agreement ensures energy and carbon reduction throughout the entire industry by incorporating energy efficiency from the very start of the production process. US Department of Transportation awards HAAS Alert Contract to expand school bus V2X alerting

Chicago, United States – The United States Department of Transportation formally awarded HAAS Alert a Prime Phase II SBIR Contract this month to further improve school bus safety using C-V2X (cellular vehicle-to-everything) alert notifications. Working in coordination with subcontractors and researchers at USDOT Volpe Centre, the project will explore additional ways of enabling school buses to deliver real-time safety notifications to approaching vehicles through HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud V2X platform, alerting drivers of students boarding or disembarking ahead. IoT experts connect in Lithuania for Telematics Vilnius 2022

On August 17 and 18, Lithuania staged Telematics Vilnius 2022, reportedly global IoT platform Wialon’s community event. The gathering saw more than 150 IoT experts from 51 countries come together to discuss telematics trends including fleet management, GPS tracking and IoT. The two-day event in Vilnius, said to be a booming global tech hub, as well as the Wialon headquarters, culminated in an award ceremony where Wialon celebrated its best performing telematics and IoT partners worldwide alongside the top ranking GPS hardware manufacturers.
