Today, baramundi, a provider of unified endpoint management solutions, has released its flagship solution, baramundi Management Suite (bMS). In addition to a customisation tool for Microsoft Windows OS installations, the new release brings significantly expanded management options for Android Enterprise users, an extension of the self-service function as well as a new monitoring feature.
Windows 10 already offers many configuration options during the installation phase. With the baramundi OS Customisation Tool, these settings can now be programmed via a graphical user interface during the preparation of the installation image. This provides IT administrators with another useful tool for personalising their Windows environment and, in particular, adapting their data protection requirements. The OS Customisation Tool makes it easy for IT administrators to deactivate OS functions or configure them according to their company compliance.
baramundi Management Suite 2019 provides users with numerous profile modules and settings for Android Enterprise, enable the most comprehensive customisation. Extensive security measures can now be set up on any mobile device, preventing a camera to take photos or unwanted screenshots to be stored, for instance. Android Enterprise-specific unlocking via biometric features and the display of notifications in the lock screen can now also be adapted via baramundi Mobile Device Management. In addition, the baramundi Agent on Android Enterprise devices now displays the compliance status and lists any violations in detail.
In addition to various security-relevant improvements, the baramundi Management Suite 2019 includes numerous other innovations. The self-service option present in bMS 2018 has been extended, allowing for both a user-centred and a device-centred view; a new e-mail notification feature makes it easier for IT administrators to always have a good and up-to-date overview of their IT infrastructure and to monitor the overall status of the bMS; an easy-to-use menu allows an administrator to be very precisely notified automatically when relevant events occur and action is required. All aspects – including a bundling of messages with dispatch at a selected time – can now be determined individually.
With baramundi Management Suite 2019 we intend to bring the best of German-made automation to the enterprise, preventing IT administrators from wasting valuable time running manual mundane tasks that ultimately can lead to operational inefficiencies and weak security processes,” stated Sean Herbert, country manager, baramundi UK. “These innovations stem from months of dedicated research and customer liaison, taking into account the latest trends in enterprise IT, vulnerability remediation and mobile device management. We look forward to continuing to help our customers from across the globe to ensure a greater automated and safer environment for all.”
