AWS contributes edge gateway to Open Compute Project Foundation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has contributed a specification for an edge gateway to the Open Compute Project. Through additional AWS contributions, this edge gateway will also support OCP’s Switch Abstraction Layer (SAI) and thus end users will have a choice of network OS including SONiC or DENT from the Linux Foundation. DENT network operating system partners with OCP to integrate Switch Abstraction Interface

The Linux Foundation (LF), a non-profit technology consortium, announced the incorporation of the Open Compute Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) into the open source DENT network operating system (NOS) project. This collaboration between the Linux Foundation and the Open Compute Project (OCP) aims at benefiting the entire open-source community by providing a unified and standardised approach to networking across hardware and software. Siemens Smart Infrastructure has expanded its medium voltage portfolio with a sustainable and intelligent solution that paves the way for smart switchgear of the future. Astrocast participates in EU’s CiROCCO initiative, brings satellite IoT connectivity to desert areas

Lausanne, Switzerland -  Astrocast, a global nanosatellite IoT network operator, announces its participation in the European Union (EU) funded CiROCCO initiative. CiROCCO forms a key part of the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, a funding programme for research and innovation with a budget of €95.5 billion.
