Adtran has announced that Interphone is leveraging its Mosaic platform to bring multigigabit broadband to Australia’s residential market. Apartments and lifestyle villages throughout Western Australia now have access to some of the country’s fast internet speeds. Adtran’s open and programmable broadband solution enables Interphone to streamline operations and activate new services. What’s more, because Adtran’s disaggregated XGS-PON (10 Gigabit Symmetrical passive optical network) is more efficient than legacy alternatives, networks built using the technology are more cost-effective and sustainable. Eastlink updated that its fibre expansion work in Ontario continues to progress with the recent completion of its fibre network in Mindemoya, part of the federal government’s Universal Broadband Fund programme. This expansion aims at providing high-speed internet access to underserved areas.
