Iveda, a global solution for cloud-based AI, has announced that Movement Interactive, powered by Iveda, has been named as a subcontractor in an eight-year Veterans Affairs contract worth $1.032 billion (€0.94 billion). Through this subcontract, Iveda and Movement Interactive will support 72,000 veterans aging in place across the United States with AI and IoT-enabled telehealth and fall detection technology through HIPAA-compliant IvedaCare and IvedaAI to support the ongoing care, health, and safety of patients. Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced two modem chipsets with satellite capability: the Qualcomm 212S Modem and the Qualcomm 9205S Modem. The new Qualcomm modem chipsets power off-grid industrial use cases that require standalone non-terrestrial network (NTN) connectivity or hybrid connectivity alongside terrestrial networks, and allow IoT enterprises, developers, ODMs, and OEMs to harness real-time information and insights to manage business projects. Qualcomm Technologies is engaged with Skylo, an NTN service provider, to help enable and operate this new connectivity medium.

Infineon announces its XENSIV PAS CO2 has passed the performance requirements defined by the internationally recognised green building certifications WELL and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). A sensor contributes to 5 WELL features (e.g. ventilation design, air quality monitoring and awareness), and 6 LEED credits (e.g. optimised energy performance and enhanced indoor air quality strategies). These contributions enable buildings that pursue a certification to earn a maximum of 28 points for LEED and up to six points for WELL. (more…)

The Industry IoT Consortium (IIC) has published updates to its Industry Internet of Things Security Framework (IISF), initially published as Industrial Internet Security Framework.
