Comcast has introduced a new product, Storm-Ready WiFi, aimed at providing consistent connectivity during storms, local outages, or when trees are down. With increasing severe weather incidents across the country backup connectivity has become crucial. Storm-Ready WiFi features cellular backup and a four-hour rechargeable battery, ensuring operational capability during the average two-hour US power outage. VCTI increases accuracy, speed of network planning with new capabilities

Openreach to build full fibre broadband in Wales

Shadow secretary of state for Wales, Jo Stevens and Shadow Wales minister Gerald Jones MP recently visited Openreach’s National Learning Centre for Wales to learn more about the strides being made to bring full fibre broadband to Wales. Based in Newport, the multi-million pound learning centre gives trainee Openreach engineers the opportunity to learn the ropes and test their skills in a replica street, built from scratch to recreate the real network in the outside world.
