World’s first open 5G Cybersecurity Hackathon gathers 70 hackers in Finland

On Friday 29th November, hackers from all over the world gathered in Oulu, Finland to test their skills against 5G and cybersecurity during the weekend. Oulu, located near the Arctic Circle, is described as a global 5G and 6G hotspot and is the home to research and development of top-tier cybersecurity.

Biometrics to secure $2.5tn in mobile payments by 2024, with webauthn standards driving adoption

A new report from Juniper Research has found that biometric authentication will be used to secure $2.5 trillion (€2.2 trillion) worth of mobile payment transactions by 2024, an increase of almost 1,000% on the $228 billion (€205 trillion) expected to be transacted through the method by the end of 2019.
