BT announced it has secured a seven-year deal with NATS, a provider of air navigation services. This calculator estimates embodied and operational carbon avoidance through the adoption of Tellabs optical local area network (LAN) for smart buildings and Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity.

Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.

Eastlink updated that its fibre expansion work in Ontario continues to progress with the recent completion of its fibre network in Mindemoya, part of the federal government’s Universal Broadband Fund programme. This expansion aims at providing high-speed internet access to underserved areas.
