Verizon lights the way for future smart grid technology with Peninsula Light Company

China, India, Japan and South Korea set to surpass 1bn installed smart electricity meters in 2025

According to new a research report from the IoT analyst firm Berg Insight, the installed base of smart electricity meters in the Asian markets China, India, Japan and South Korea will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.9% from 613.4 million in 2018 to reach 965.9 million in 2024. (more…)

5G goes live in 15 commercial standardised networks worldwide: Global LTE connections rise to 4.4bn

5G, using 3GPP standardised wireless technology, has been commercially deployed by 15 mobile network operators worldwide, according to 5G Americas, the industry trade association and voice of 5G and LTE for the Americas and TeleGeography (GlobalComms Database).
