The ioXt Alliance, a global standard for IoT security has announced the addition of Capgemini to transform and manage their business by harnessing the power of technology, to the ioXt Authorised Labs certification programme. Authorised labs are the third-party test providers for the ioXt Alliance. Authorised labs perform all testing required for IoT devices to be certified by ioXt and to bear the ioXt SmartCert label, which provides security assurance to enterprises and consumers. (more…)

Private 5G networks are all the rage. At Mobile World Congress last month, IBM and Nokia joined hands to kick off the development of a “seamless, simplified private” 5G managed service offering, while Cisco and NTT announced a collaboration to bring their private 5G services to enterprise customers in selected sectors, says Udo Schneider, IoT security evangelist, Trend Micro.

Continental will be collaborating with Infineon Technologies AG in the development of server-based vehicle architectures. The goal is an organised electrics/electronics (E/E) architecture with central high-performance computers (HPC) and a few, powerful zone control units (ZCU) instead of up to a hundred or even more individual control units, as it was previously the case. Nokia has launched the Beacon 10, its gateway supporting Wi-Fi 6E to provide high-capacity mesh networking. The Beacon 10 is a true tri-band device which can provide Wi-Fi throughput of 10Gbps.
