Nokia, NTT Docomo, Inc. and Omron Corporation have agreed to conduct joint field trials using 5G at their plants and other production sites. As part of the trial, Nokia will provide the enabling 5G technology and Omron the factory automation equipment while NTT Docomo will run the 5G trial. (more…)

A new study from Juniper Research found that service revenues from low power IoT technologies will exceed $2.6 billion (2.3 billion) by 2024; rising from only $290 million (263 million) in 2019, a growth of 800% over the next 5 years. The Vodafone Business and IBM venture, which launched earlier this year, announced it has signed an eight-year deal with National Express, a UK-based transport provider with services in eight countries.
