Renault Group, Qualcomm Technologies partner to co-develop a centralised platform architecture for software defined vehicles

San Diego, United States – Renault Group and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced that the companies intend to take their technology collaboration one step further with plans to deliver a centralised compute architecture for Renault’s next-generation of software defined vehicles. Known as “software defined vehicle” (SDV) platforms, the high-performance automotive platforms would be based on Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and support digital cockpit, connectivity, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The companies also announced that Qualcomm Technologies, or one of its affiliates, will also be investing in the Renault Group’s dedicated electric and software company, known as Ampere. (more…)

Oracle announced Oracle Public Safety Services, a technology platform for law enforcement and first responders. The platform provides a unified hardware and software suite that is designed to remove data silos, eliminate manual busy work, and empower first responders with real-time information and situational awareness to help them make more objective decisions when every second counts. Connectivity Standards Alliance’s Matter launch event showcased industry leaders and the Matter products

Amsterdam, Netherlands – In the month since Matter 1.0 was released, Matter momentum has continued to accelerate. The members showcased their Matter products at a launch event in Amsterdam with a wide array of categories including motion blinds, occupancy sensors, weather devices, smart plugs, door locks, lighting, gateways, platform components, and Matter-based software applications.
