Deborah Kish joins TIRAP advisory committee to advance broadband technician training, apprenticeships

Washington, United States – The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) has announced that Deborah Kish, FBA vice president of research and workforce development, was appointed to the Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP) advisory committee. Nokia AVA software selected to support Orange and ACUD for building smart capital city in Egypt

Cairo, Egypt. 8 March 2023 – Nokia has announced that its OSS/BSS software solutions have been selected by Orange and Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) company owned by the Egyptian government to deliver a wide range of retail and wholesale services for the New Administrative Capital city. Nokia AVA products, including its operations and monetisation software, will be used by the Administrative Capital for Urban Development of Egypt (ACUD) to enable customers to order, activate and pay for utilities and data centre services. Qualcomm, WeSchool, Telecom Italia, Acer partner to bring wireless technology solutions to schools

5G Smart School, a programme from Qualcomm Incorporated, through its Wireless Reach Initiative, and in collaboration with WeSchool, Telecom Italia (TIM) and Acer, is providing schools with wireless technology solutions. The programme, which launched at an event in Rome, aims to enhance the learning experience so teachers and students can take advantage of digital tools, content, and experiences. 5G Smart School improves teaching and learning in secondary schools (students aged 11 to 19) across Italy using wireless technologies, 5G connectivity, access to an online learning platform, training on digital teaching methodologies, and continuous teacher support.

Keysight, KTH Royal Institute of Technology collaborate to achieve record baud rates

Keysight Technologies, Inc., has announced that in collaboration with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Riga Technical University (RTU) it demonstrated the 310 GBaud rates using on-off keying modulation and 160 GBaud rates using PAM6 modulation with direct detection system to support 1.6 Tbps applications.
