Baicells Technologies, has partnered with Tohono O’odham Utility Authority (TOUA) to bring access to advanced broadband connectivity and opportunity for tribal residents. The reservation boundary is approximately 30 miles west of Tucson, Arizona and extends south along the border with Mexico, Tohono O’odham nation of roughly 28,000 members, is spread across a number of remote villages where bringing access to broadband has always been a major challenge. Previously relying on basic Wi-Fi connectivity, in limited locations and with high Mbps speeds only in single digits, TOUA long recognised need to overhaul and upgrade their infrastructure and so built out their network plan. Work to upgrade Wath upon Dearne’s digital foundations with future-proof full fibre network connectivity is now underway after CityFibre started construction works in the town’s Swinton area. CityFibre is investing £31.2 million (€36.49 million) in bringing this new technology to local homes and businesses, providing them with access to a network that has been designed to serve their growing data needs for decades to come. Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.

Harmonic has announced that telecommunications service provider Claro Perú, of the América Móvil group, is extending Harmonic’s CableOS Broadband Platform for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) to sustainably deliver next-gen broadband and 10Gbps speeds. Calix, Inc. has announced that longtime customer ALLO Communications (ALLO) has secured $650 million (€577.75 million) in sustainable financing, driven in part by their investment in the Calix broadband platform Calix Intelligent Access EDGE, Calix Cloud, and Calix Revenue EDGE. Sustainable finance is an investment that considers the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors of an economic activity or project. Glo Fiber, powered by Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (‘Shentel’), announced that they have reached an agreement with municipal officials to deploy next generation fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband services to Mount Joy Borough, Pennsylvania.
