MediaTek, Skylo collaborate on 3GPP NTN satellite solutions on smartphones, wearables

Skylo, a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) service operator connecting anything, anywhere, has announced its on-going partnership with MediaTek, a global chipset manufacturer. With MediaTek’s 3GPP NTN-standard modem and Skylo’s NTN service, smartphone and IoT manufacturers are able to develop new devices, sensors, and wearables with in-built satellite connectivity. Multinet chooses IP Infusion’s OcNOS for open optical, packet transport nationwide IP network upgrade

IP Infusion, a provider of open network software and solutions for wireline and mobile network operators, has announced that Multinet, Pakistan’s premier information and communications solution provider, selected IP Infusion’s OcNOS networking operating system in its nationwide IP upgrade to 3.2 Tbps. This project, based on solutions developed by Telecom Infra Project (TIP), is an Open Optical and Packet Transport (OOPT) project to date. Multinet will be upgrading its transport network that spans the entire country covering more than 120 cities, across more than 14,000 kilometers, and supporting more than 150 million people in the region. Infineon to build new plant for analog/mixed-signal technologies, power semiconductors in Dresden

Munich, Germany – Infineon Technologies AG is starting construction of its new plant for analog/mixed-signal technologies and power semiconductors. After extensive analysis, the Infineon management board and supervisory bodies gave the green light for the Dresden site. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) has approved an early project launch, meaning that construction can already begin before completion of the inspection of legal subsidy aspects by the European Commission.
