Nokia and stc launch the operation of technology innovation centre to stimulate innovation

Nokia and stc announced a joint collaboration to operate stc’s technology innovation Centre in Riyadh. IoT can get you back to work

The City of London usually welcomes around 550,000 workers daily. Today that number is closer to 15,000. Why? Because the majority of City workers have to commute by public transportation train, tube or bus to get to work. In the past, says Bart Schouw, chief evangelist at Software AG, this meant sitting or more likely standing in a crowded, hot space with no air conditioning (and not enough people wearing masks). Wi-Fi 6 is ready for carrier network deployment, says WBA after successful completion of trials

Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), the worldwide industry body dedicated to improving Wi-Fi services and standards, has concluded five trial deployments of Wi-Fi 6 across diverse markets. The deployments show that Wi-Fi 6, with wider channels up to 160 MHz, and capacity up to 9.6 Gbps (compared to 3.5 Gbps in Wi-Fi 5), can enable nearly three times faster gigabit data rates. (more…)
