In line with its growth strategy, Ambiq plans to expand its technology design centre in Singapore, which was launched in April last year, to meet the rising demands and further enhance its circuit design capabilities. Kajeet has announced a collaboration with Drake State Community and Technical College to address historical disparities in computer and broadband access. With funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), this initiative is part of the NTIA’s Connecting Minority Communities Pilot (CMC) programme and underscores Drake State’s focus on eliminating the digital divide in and around Madison County, Alabama. Broadcom Inc has announced availability of its FBAR integrated front end module (FiFEM) devices for Wi-Fi access point (AP) applications, spanning Wi-Fi routers, residential gateways, and enterprise APs. The FiFEM devices incorporate FBAR filter technology to provide 5 GHz and 6 GHz band coexistence and low in-band insertion loss while significantly reducing the bill of materials (BOM) at the RF front end. Additionally, the devices feature non-linear power amplifier (PA) design optimised for Broadcom’s Wi-Fi SoC Digital Predistortion (DPD) operation, enabling up to 40% reduction in RF front-end power. Laser Light Companies and Nokia have agreed on a $25 million (€22.88) (USD) Beta Programme to commence the deployment of Laser Light’s planned global all-optical network. In the agreement, Laser Light will use Nokia optical and IP solutions and technologies to enable the first stage of its planned Extended Ground Network System (“XGNS”) to reach and serve diverse locations. Following the initial Beta in Australia, other Beta locations are planned for the United States, Chile, Spain, and Africa later this year. When completed, Laser Light and Nokia’s Beta Programme will operate a meshed global platform connecting 5 continents, enabling demonstration of advanced data services and the platform to support integration activities ahead of the global commercial network.
