Iridium provides global connectivity for XCMG’s heavy equipment

Iridium Communications Inc., announced that Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), will deploy Iridium IoT (internet of things) services on its global fleet of heavy equipment, starting with excavators and expanding to loaders and crane trucks as needed. XCMG will utilise Iridium’s global network to maintain critical connectivity with their heavy equipment in main locations including Australia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Central Asia. Airvine to drive necessary broadband network upgrades for MDU properties

According to recent studies conducted by Deloitte, an average number of connected devices in US households has risen to 22. This and other trends are pushing FCC (federal communications commission) to raise previous definition of broadband, 25Mbps (megabits per second), to 100Mbps goal and Airvine describes in a blog post how property owners, management companies and managed service providers in ‘MDU’ (multi-dwelling unit) sector can provide necessary broadband network upgrades within these buildings. GigNet enhances connectivity solutions for Alejandro Fernandez concert

GigNet has completed a fibre-optic broadband network that stretches from Costa Mujeres, located north of Cancun,  through hotel zone in Tulum. As part of this achievement, advanced broadband connectivity solutions were provided, including a sponsored public Wi-Fi zone. This was implemented during Alejandro Fernandez concert at Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico, which took place on August 19th, 2023.

Firmware updates via DALI interface are now part of DALI-2 certification

The DALI Alliance has extended the DALI-2 certification programme to include firmware updates via the DALI interface in devices including control gear, application controllers and input devices such as sensors. Firmware updates are specified in Part 105 of the IEC 62386 standard. (more…)

Airties, Domos to provide latency management to broadband service providers

Airties and Domos, has announced an alliance to provide enhanced latency management capabilities to broadband service providers around world. Airties and Domos will jointly own latency monitoring software module, based on Domos’ existing module, and will be embedded into Airties smart Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) software. Additionally, Domos will gain access to Airties’ customer base to expand distribution of its network X-ray agent through integration with Airties smart Wi-Fi solutions.
