Work to upgrade Wath upon Dearne’s digital foundations with future-proof full fibre network connectivity is now underway after CityFibre started construction works in the town’s Swinton area. CityFibre is investing £31.2 million (€36.49 million) in bringing this new technology to local homes and businesses, providing them with access to a network that has been designed to serve their growing data needs for decades to come. Butler Electric Cooperative has selected Conexon, to deliver fibre broadband support services for cooperative’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The $21 million (€19.18 million) project, representing the state’s electric cooperative fibre broadband network, is partially being funded through a $10 million (€9.13 million) Kansas Capital Projects will deliver FTTH internet access to approximately 4,300 rural Kansans. Service will be offered through Butler Electric’s broadband division, Velocity.

Wi-Fi Alliance is augmenting Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 testing protocols to support the regulatory authorisation process of 6 GHz standard power devices pursuant to recently published Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) guidance. Release of this new testing allows product vendors and service providers to verify that the 6 GHz standard power devices meet the technical requirements in Part 15, Subpart E of the FCC rules pertaining to operations under control of the Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) system.
