Newcastle, UK – Transport management software providers, Mandata, have appointed Martin Randel as chair to the business, with immediate effect.
Randel, co-founder of delivery management software business Unifaun, is an experienced entrepreneur, CEO, investor, and board member. Having spent the early stages of his career at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company, he has gone on to co-found and grow several successful businesses. Among these are Vitamin Well (functional food and drinks) and Nshift/Unifaun (delivery management software). Martin currently runs his own investments with a primary focus on backing entrepreneurs in the logistics and software space.
Chris Rigg, CEO of Mandata, comments, “We are incredibly pleased to have Martin on board as a valued adviser to myself and my management team. We will be drawing on his rich record of scaling logistic tech companies globally. His practical knowledge will prove invaluable in our current period of rapid transformation aimed at delivering world-class haulier software to our customers.”
Mandata says that Randel’s experience will be particularly beneficial as the business seeks to expand its transport management software network into Europe in the coming months. Randel says, “Following their recent acquisition by private equity firm Tenzing, Mandata is a business on the cusp of significant expansion following extensive investment in their people, products, and services. It is a particularly exciting time to join their journey and I very much look forward to supporting them.
Martin Randel will focus on scaling and internationalising the business and its product and customer offerings.
