Green Custard Ltd, a UK-based software and Internet of Things (IoT) consultancy, has achieved the status of advanced consulting partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). The company specialises in Industry 4.0, connected devices and smart building systems.
Already an AWS CloudFormation Service Delivery Partner and a member of the AWS Public Sector Partner Program (PSP), Green Custard underwent a meticulous approval process, which involved multiple partner program validations and demonstrating proven success of working with multiple AWS customers at scale, to achieve this highly acclaimed APN status.
Green Custard’s software developers, architects and engineering teams collectively have more than 100 years’ experience in building and successfully deploying IoT systems and infrastructures for a diverse range of markets and client types. The company’s most recent success story was the development of a robust, and secure IoT-based predictive maintenance platform alongside fellow AWS partner Eseye Ltd for the global bulk material handling firm Martin Engineering. Using cellular connectivity, this innovative solution ensures the reliable and safe operation of conveyor belt cleaning tools and other process flow accessories in wide scale use on large industrial sites in EMEA and North America.
Since going live, Martin Engineering have successfully deployed and tested their IoT solution in five new regions without increasing their operational and support overheads. Moreover, these deployments were achieved in minutes, with comprehensive testing completed within 24 hours whilst ensuring compliance with local privacy requirements.
Another successful AWS project undertaken by Green Custard was the prototyping of an IoT-connected product for the UK’s largest soft drinks manufacturer, Britvic PLC. Built from scratch within a 6-week time frame, the prototype has played a key role in shaping the rollout of a next-generation drinks’ dispenser.
“Green Custard took a relatively ambiguous and challenging brief and quickly aligned with a set of new partners to deliver a successful pilot proposition within a very challenging timeline,” explains, Scott Mackenzie, digital innovation lead at Britvic. “The Green Custard team demonstrated strong leadership and knowledge throughout the project, often going above and beyond the original brief to ensure success.”
Following on from this positive outcome, Green Custard continues to be actively involved in this new product development project at Britvic.
“We are honoured to be awarded the Advanced Consulting Partner status,” says, Jonathan Custance, director and co-owner of Green Custard. “Out of the thousands of companies on the APN network, fewer than 25% are awarded advanced designation. Such recognition puts Green Custard firmly on the map in IoT innovation.”
As well as developing software and IoT applications for a diverse range of companies, including government, education, and not-for-profit organisations, Green Custard was instrumental in the successful running of the UK’s hackathon for Fortune 500 company JLL.
