Advantech appoints Dirk Finstel associate vice president of Embedded IoT Europe

Netherlands-based Advantech, a global provider of intelligent IoT devices and solutions, has appointed Dirk Finstel as associate vice president (AVP) of Embedded IoT Europe. The appointment became effective from January 1st, 2019.
Finstel will lead the Embedded IoT sector in Europe. This strategic appointment underlines the importance within Advantech of the Embedded business in Europe.
Dirk Finstel brings more than 25 years of experience within the embedded computing sector, having had a successful career in both sales and technology. He was previously CEO of sales & marketing for the embedded boards division and CTO and member of the management board of Kontron AG. Dirk Finstel worked for several years as CEO EMEA and EVP at Adlink Technology, Inc. In his most recent role, Dirk he was managing partner / CTO at eCOUNT embedded in Munich, Germany.
