bitsensing and Ontact Health sign MOU to jointly develop smart health management services

bitsensing and Ontact Health MoU announcement
bitsensing, a radar solution company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with digital healthcare innovator Ontact Health to co-develop smart health management services. The partnership aims to create an integrated solution that combines bitsensing’s precision radar sensor technology with Ontact Health’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven health assessment system in order to offer more systematic and personalised health monitoring, including sleep data.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to:
- Jointly develop smart health management services.
- Create new solutions by integrating radar-based sleep sensors with AI health evaluation technology.
- Conduct proof-of-concept projects and commercialise services tailored for residential and senior care sectors.
By fusing contactless sensing technology with AI-based health insights, the partnership will focus on high-accuracy solutions for environments with increasing healthcare demands.
Scientific studies have increasingly shown a strong correlation between sleep quality and immune function, highlighting the importance of preventive, data-driven health management. Research from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States (U.S.), for example, found that individuals sleeping less than seven hours a night are over twice as likely to catch a cold when exposed to a virus. During deep sleep, cytokines – immune-related proteins – are released, reinforcing the body’s recovery and defence mechanisms. Sleep data, therefore, is emerging as a vital biomarker for immunity.
In response to this trend, bitsensing has developed a non-contact radar sleep sensor that can precisely measure biometric signals without wearables. Capable of tracking respiration, heart rate and movement in real time, the sensor provides both accuracy and accessibility, even for users who cannot easily wear devices, such as infants and older adults.
Ontact Health uses advanced AI algorithms to analyse health data and lifestyle patterns, offering multidimensional health assessments. Its platform predicts potential health risks, categorises individual health types, and delivers personalised health reports validated by clinical experts.
Together, the companies will build a real-world-ready, integrated solution that delivers tangible health improvements.
“Our goal is to connect precise sleep analysis via contactless radar with meaningful health outcomes,” said Jae-Eun Lee, the CEO of bitsensing. “This collaboration with Ontact Health, recognised for its AI health assessment technology, is a critical step in delivering practical and next-generation health services. We are committed to expanding predictive, radar-based healthcare that enhances immunity and quality of life.”
Hyuk-Jae Jang, the CEO of Ontact Health, said: “Continuous health management that takes place seamlessly in the background of daily life is a critical step toward making healthcare a natural part of everyday routines. Among the various aspects, sleep stands out as one of the most important. This collaboration with bitsensing marks a major milestone toward bringing such services into practical use in the near term.”
The MOU marks the beginning of a broader collaboration, with plans to expand into joint R&D, demonstration projects, and government-backed initiatives.
