Soracom IoT platform achieves SOC 2 Type 2 compliance

Soracom, Inc., a global provider of advanced Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, has announced that it has achieved System and Organisation Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 compliance, reinforcing its commitment as an IoT technology leader with the highest standards of security, availability and confidentiality for customers operating at global scale.
SOC 2 Type 2 is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that evaluates how companies manage customer data based on five “trust service principles”: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. Achieving Type 2 compliance confirms that Soracom’s systems and controls have not only been designed to meet rigorous trust criteria, but have also been tested over time to verify their effective operation.
