BWS IoT, a 100% Brazilian company specialising in solutions for tracking, telemetry and asset management, with IoT technology, presents a robust and efficient combination that promises to transform the management and protection of assets, especially in robbery and theft scenarios. The innovation comes from the union between the technologies: 4G Nb2 (Narrow Band) and Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN), which creates a hybrid solution that is unique in its category. The new BWS 4G Nb2+LoRa product line offers compact trackers, with IP67 protection rating, that combine the best of their technologies, ensuring connectivity even in situations of interference or use of signal blockers (jammers).

A new paradigm in traceability and protection

With a focus on low power consumption, long battery life and wide-range connectivity, the project combines Low-Power Wide Area (LPWA) technology with hybrid communication intelligence, offering scalability and cost savings never seen before in the market. The new devices are designed to meet real-time tracking and monitoring needs, even in the most challenging locations, such as basements, rural areas or building interiors.

This hybrid device uses Nb2 as its main means of connectivity, but has communication redundancy in LoRa networks, ensuring the transmission of alerts and the recovery of assets, even in adverse scenarios.

“At BWS IoT, we believe that innovation is the engine that drives the future. With the launch of our new 4G Nb2+LoRa hybrid line, we are redefining the market standards for asset tracking and protection. This groundbreaking technology combines the best of both worlds to offer uninterrupted connectivity, maximum security and unmatched efficiency. The partnership with KORE, which provides the LoRaWAN network, is key to this evolution, as it ensures that our devices operate in challenging environments, further increasing the reliability of the solution,” says Oswaldo Conti-Bosso, the president and founder of BWS IoT.

The LoRa revolution and robustness against interference

LoRa technology, in turn, brings an additional layer of security and efficiency. By operating in unlicensed spectrum and eliminating the need for SIM cards, KORE’s LoRaWAN connectivity reduces operational costs and offers robust communication in environments where cellular coverage may be absent or compromised.

“Our global history at KORE has been marked by pioneering, with many technological innovations that anticipate trends. Thus, we are very pleased to bring yet another innovation to the Brazilian market, together with BWS IoT, a genuinely Brazilian company that is highly respected in the market. We have in common our dedication to always ensuring that our customers have the best results, which is what we aim for with this new solution, which brings even greater security and efficiency to asset management,” highlights Júlio Tesser, the VP of Latam at KORE.

Sustainable and cost-effective solutions for massive IoT

With a focus on massive IoT, BWS IoT invests in affordable and sustainable solutions. The devices are designed for a wide range of applications, such as vehicle tracking, remote measurement, security, telemetry and asset management. The simplified architecture of Nb2, combined with the energy efficiency of both technologies, makes it possible to create lower-cost and longer-lasting devices, positively impacting companies’ return on investment (ROI).

Furthermore, the hybrid connectivity model ensures greater coverage and redundancy, allowing devices to communicate with each other via a proprietary protocol on private networks, further increasing the reliability of the solution.

The launch of the BWS family of products utilising KORE’s Nb2 and LoRaWAN technologies is not just new equipment or new technologies; it is a step in the evolution of IoT connectivity for the asset recovery and monitoring market. By combining technological innovation, operational efficiency and economies of scale, BWS IoT redefines the paradigm of asset protection, becoming a global reference in the sector.

With a commitment to offering smart and affordable solutions, the company not only meets the demands of today’s market, but also paves the way for a future in which connectivity will be even more essential for security and asset management. The launch of this hybrid solution will take place during the Exposec event, which takes place from June 10 to 12, 2025, at São Paulo Expo.
