Digi International has announced the appointment of Dane Surkamer as vice president of global channel sales. With a proven track record in sales leadership and a strong focus on managed services, Surkamer’s arrival signals Digi’s renewed commitment to its channel-centric strategy.
“At Digi, we are committed to driving innovation and growth, and that starts with bringing in top talent that shares our vision,” said Tony Puopolo, the president and GM of Digi’s mobile solutions business unit. “Dane’s extensive experience and channel-focused mindset align perfectly with our goals and his leadership will play a pivotal role as we continue to expand our global channel presence and provide our channel ecosystem with the solutions, tools and support they need to succeed.”
In his new role, Surkamer will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth through Digi’s channel network and will be an important part of the company’s channel programme — with a heavy focus on growth, streamlining processes and making it even easier for value added resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs) to collaborate with Digi.
“I am excited to join Digi at such a dynamic time,” said Surkamer. “My vision is to create a seamless and straightforward experience for our distribution channel, ensuring they have the resources and support to thrive. Digi’s innovative solutions, combined with a simplified channel programme, position us to unlock new opportunities and drive mutual success.”
Prior to joining Digi, Surkamer was the senior director of sales for managed services at Cradlepoint, where he led efforts to expand the company’s business. His expertise in growing revenue through channel relationships will be instrumental in advancing Digi’s channel initiatives and strengthening relationships with existing and new channel partners.
