Schneider Electric is transforming its Digital Buildings business in Canada with the launch of the SMART Buildings Division. This evolution marks a move to deliver comprehensive solutions and services that support building owners and operators in achieving their decarbonisation and sustainability goals.

The demand for smart buildings is surging, driven by a global shift toward sustainability, digitisation and energy efficiency. Canada’s real estate industry is actively transforming as the nation commits to net-zero emissions by 2050. With buildings consuming approximately 30% of the world’s energy and accounting for almost 40% of annual CO2 emissions, urgent action is needed to intensify efforts toward sustainable building practices.
