Trilliant focuses on data, digitalisation as backbone of low carbon future
Andrew C White of Trilliant
Trilliant will serve as Diamond Partner of Digitalisation Track at Energy Transition Conference as part of its commitment to Asia Pacific region. The conference, created and hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berghad (TNB), will take place on August 28 and 29, 2023 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The Energy Transition Conference is region’s better meeting place for conversations about energy transition. This year, main focus areas are power, transport and cities, with digitalisation as an enabler in accelerating energy transition. Attendees will hear from local and international thought providers and industry personnels, and learn about technologies and policies needed for energy transition in region.
Trilliant chairman and CEO Andrew C. White will take part in a session titled “communications & data as the backbone of a low carbon future” on day one. White will explore how digitalisation can play main role in helping to accelerate energy transition, which could reduce emissions by up to 20% by 2050 in three high-emitting sectors: energy, materials and mobility. He will also discuss how better use of data can support energy transition journey.
Other conference speakers include Malaysia’s Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad; TNB Malaysia’s chief grid officer Dev Anandan and chief new energy officer Zarihi Hashim; and senior officials from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Energy Market Authority (EMA), among others.
“We are delighted to participate in this conference with TNB, our valued customer. At the event, we look forward to speaking with utilities, dignitaries and technology providers worldwide about how we deliver the power of choice for smart grids and smart cities. We help customers achieve their net zero decarbonisation goals with next-gen, energy-efficient solutions that will lead to a sustainable global environment for generations to come.” says Andrew C White, chairman and CEO at Trilliant.
Smart meter deployment milestone
Globally, Trilliant has reached another smart meter deployment milestone, with more than 34 million (€31.49 million) endpoints/smart meters currently operational and in deployment, with millions more planned over coming few years.
In Asia Pacific, Trilliant has deployed 3 million (€2.78 million) smart meters in Malaysia and 2 million (€1.85 million) in India, with several million more to be deployed over coming two years across the region.
Trilliant previously announced commencement of manufacturing in Malaysia. Local production of trilliant communications module (TCM) and trilliant street light controller reduces delivery cycles to company’s customers in the region.
Digitalisation that accelerates energy transition
The Digitalisation track spanning three industry sectors including power, transport and cities focuses on technologies vital for achieving net-zero emissions and driving energy transition. Attendees will have opportunity to learn how digitalisation enables data processing, issue identification and virtual solution testing, which directs to decarbonisation. Industry experts will explore how embracing digital technologies including cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and IoT (internet of things) sensors will continue to accelerate energy transition, enable green mobility and foster sustainable cities.
Discover power of choice first-hand
Trilliant’s flexible solutions for smart grids and smart cities support energy transition, helping customers achieve their net zero decarbonisation goals. At conference, Trilliant will showcase its future network and range of mission-critical solutions for utilities, municipalities, cities and more at Booth D203. Attendees are invited to see primarily how Trilliant is addressing critical areas such as AMI 2.0, data and analytics, smart lighting, smart buildings and more.
