Globalgig, a network platform and connectivity provider for global enterprises, announced that it has been certified as a minority business enterprise (MBE) by the Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC). As one of the 23 affiliates of the National MSDC, the Southwest MSDC works locally to ensure that MBEs achieve their full potential, with support from the programme’s 1,700+ corporate members.
With this new designation, Globalgig joins more than 15,000+ certified businesses as part of the nation’s non-profit advocacy organisation for minority business enterprises. Certified businesses receive several benefits, including direct access to other MBEs for business opportunities, networking with corporate buyers, and access to educational events and conferences.
Globalgig was co-founded by CEO Ernest Cunningham, who has an established history of entrepreneurship, including being the CEO and founder of One Source Networks, which grew from 0 to [$100 million (€91.35 million)] in eight years before being acquired by GTT Communications in 2015. He also leads a multimillion-dollar real estate holding and management company.
“We are honored and excited to receive the MBE certification,” states Ernest Cunningham, CEO of Globalgig. “As a minority-led business, we see diversity as an invaluable initiative in supporting communities, business growth and innovation. We look forward to networking with corporate members and supporting and learning from the impressive roster of fellow MBEs.”
Since its founding, Globalgig has been focused on evolving to meet the needs of its enterprise customers, expanding its service portfolio, team, optimising processes and launching the iteration of its network platform, Orchestra 3.0. This approach has been instrumental in its success, including being named an Inc. 5000 ‘fastest-growing’ company for four years.
