T‑Mobile supports first responders in Oregon
T-Mobile has deployed its emergency response team to the Boulder Wildfire in Oregon’s Mount Hood National Forest. Emergency response has set up a base at the Tigh Valley Spike Camp to boost network capacity for brave responders.
T-Mobile’s network was not affected by the wildfires. Its teams were deployed on-site to expand the network to 324 users. As such, it can provide over 414GB of open and secure Wi-Fi to crews assisting in delivering supplies and managing the command post.
These responders are also able to download maps in real time. T-Mobile’s support is helping to ensure that first responders have the connectivity they need to stay connected to each other and the people they are trying to help.
Agencies needing communications assistance can reach out to 24-hour emergency hotline at 888-639-0020 or email at ERTRequests@T-Mobile.com.
