LocatorX announces Chester Kennedy as chief executive officer
LocatorX, a company known for connecting business processes at the edge with the enterprise through its open IoT hardware and software platforms, has announced Chester Kennedy as the new chief executive officer of Atlanta-based company. Kennedy comes to LocatorX from Infleqtion, formerly known as ColdQuanta, and brings over 35 years of experience in the aerospace and commercial electronics industries. His previous experience includes leadership roles at companies including ColdQuanta, BRIDG, and Lockheed Martin. Kennedy has experience companies through technological development and expansion. Kennedy will assume the role of chief executive officer as previous CEO, Scott Fletcher, transitions to the position of chief commercial officer, continuing his leadership presence at the company.
Prior to joining LocatorX, Kennedy was appointed president of the research and security business unit at Infleqtion, where he developed the strategy and organisation to move a wide range of quantum technology from successful lab demonstrations into meaningful and deployable quantum enabled capabilities. He continues to serve as an advisor to Infleqtion as they scale their domestic production infrastructure to support the expanding need for the components that enable quantum-based technology to solve some of the complex challenges.
During his 30-year career at Lockheed Martin, Kennedy’s progression of responsibilities took him from hands on engineering roles to executive levels covering every phase of product lifecycle from concept development through large system operational deployment. His time at Lockheed Martin included over 12 years at the vice president level in assignments that spanned across multiple operating segments of the corporation.

Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology. In his spare time, Kennedy loves spending time both on the water and in the air. He is a dedicated general aviation pilot and a lifelong student of the intersections of technology, business growth, and economic impact.
