Sensirion joins Connectivity Standards Alliance to shape future of IoT connectivity
Sensirion, a provider of smart sensor solutions, announced that it has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), a global organisation that sets standards for Internet-of-Things (IoT) connectivity. This membership demonstrates Sensirion’s commitment to providing customers with reliable and practical IoT solutions.
The CSA is known for developing standards that drive the growth of the IoT industry, and “Matter” is its smart home connectivity standard. Matter aims to simplify and enhance smart home connectivity and is designed to create a standardised approach for smart home devices, enabling them to work together, regardless of their ecosystem or brand. This interoperability can reduce development efforts and foster improvement, creating a more convenient and seamless experience for consumers.
Johannes Winkelmann, director developer experience and lead for Matter activities at Sensirion, comments, “The interoperability between IoT ecosystems provided by Matter significantly reduces development effort for new products and is crucial to Sensirion’s customers. We are excited to be part of the Connectivity Standards Alliance and to help shape the future of smart homes.”
As a member of the CSA, Sensirion will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new standards and collaborate with industry stakeholders to shape the future of IoT connectivity. Sensirion’s skilled in environmental and flow sensing solutions, combined with the CSA’s leadership in setting IoT standards, positions Sensirion to leverage the benefits of the Matter standard and provide reliable and practical IoT solutions to its customers.
