Huawei Cloud: fighting COVID-19 with the support of technology

Huawei Cloud has announced the launch of an international action plan to assist its clients around the world in the fight against COVID-19 through its cloud and AI. As part of this international coronavirus action plan, Huawei Cloud will provide AI and cloud services for free and recruit partners around the world to help fight the pandemic together.

Deng Tao , president of Huawei Cloud global market , said: ” Huawei Cloud has been working with partners in China to use innovative technologies such as cloud and AI in the fight against pandemic, and has accumulated practical experience with CT analysis. AI-assisted computerised, drug discovery, online education and telecommuting technologies. Now, we are launching this international action plan to share our hands-on experience with the international market. We will make every effort to harness technology to help our clients from all over the world to face the challenges of this crisis”.

In the healthcare sector, Huawei Cloud will offer EIHealth for free, a platform that includes services such as viral genome detection, in-silico drug screening , and an AI-assisted CT scan patient service. In the education sector, Huawei Cloud is working with partners to facilitate online education services for schools and other educational institutions. It is also helping companies migrate their businesses to the cloud to ensure the continuity of their operations during the pandemic. Huawei Cloud is offering up to 1,500 hours of free cloud resources for each new user who signs up, with 24/7 professional support on the Huawei Cloud (international) site.

Huawei Cloud has also launched the Anti-COVID-19 Partner Program, a program focused on five main scenarios: teleworking, AI support, business assistance, smart healthcare, and online education. Partners participating in this program will not only gain business, technology and business support, but will also have the opportunity to obtain free cloud resources worth up to $30,000 (€27767).
