GTT Wireless joins OmniAir Consortium
OmniAir Consortium, the global industry association promoting interoperability and certification for intelligent transportation systems (ITS), tolling, and connected vehicles, reports that GTT Wireless, a global provider of carrier-grade antenna and enclosure solutions headquartered in Rutland, UK, is OmniAir’s newest member.
GTT Wireless supports ‘mission-critical’ mechanical integration for major companies developing Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) technology. Support is given to customers in industries ranging from connected vehicles and the public sector to agriculture and rail transport.
GTT Wireless offers production-ready, ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions for rapid deployment in heavily customised projects. GTT Wireless, along with its remote engineering team, is also proud to operate the only IP67 in-house test facility capable of testing down to connector level, certifying reliability and effectiveness when operating in hostile conditions.
“OmniAir is excited that GTT Wireless, a market leader in providing EN-60950-22 READY, rugged, easy-to-integrate enclosure and antenna solutions for DSRC, GPS/GNSS, and LTE connectivity has become our latest member,” says Jason Conley, executive director for OmniAir Consortium.
GTT Wireless has more than 20 years of history in the wireless sector and a rich engineering experience within the company which enables it to provide bespoke engineering support for custom solution design, incorporating both antenna and enclosures. Customers can benefit from next day delivery of “production-ready” samples through the custom enclosure design tool, which allows them to tailor solutions to meet specific project requirements.
GTT Wireless has a proven track record in providing EN-60950-22 READY enclosure systems for outdoor V2X applications for companies in the ITS and connected vehicle markets. It has a stringent quality assurance and management process in place to ensure the unrivaled quality of its hardware and is proud to be certified as fully ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliant. All components are UL approved, and the company can offer full engineering support and facilities to assist with achieving further certification approvals.
“OmniAir Consortium is an excellent organisation and GTT Wireless is delighted to be able to contribute to the consortium’s constant push for greater interoperability and certification in the fast-growing ITS and connected vehicle markets,” says Andy Bird, managing director of GTT Wireless. “We look forward to sharing our deep experience in electronics protection to collaborate with OmniAir members and further enhance their global leadership in this field.”
