PTC has announced its participation in IoT Tech Expo Europe alongside its partners Device Authority and TeamViewer. All three technology providers will demonstrate individual solutions that, together, produce a smart, connected and secure water pump unit. The unit will be powered by PTC’s ThingWorx® Industrial Innovation Platform.

ThingWorx is a purpose-built, industrial innovation platform designed to reduce the time, cost, and risk associated with creating industrial IoT solutions for today’s connected world. PTC will show visitors how ThingWorx leverages sensor data taken from the physical pump to deliver, in real time, a compelling AR experience.

Device Authority provides simple, innovative solutions to address the challenges of IoT device identity, data security and encryption. The team will demonstrate how their KeyScaler platform ensures a secured connection between the TeamViewer Cloud and the ThingWorx Cloud, resulting in the device being authenticated and authorised, before the data is encrypted in transit and stored securely within ThingWorx.teamviewer-logo_Compliance

TeamViewer is a global software provider for IoT, connectivity, monitoring, support and team collaboration. Its remote-access solution is integrated with PTC’s ThingWorx Industrial Innovation Platform. Using the pump unit, TeamViewer will demonstrate how data can be collected and analysed in real time in the ThingWorx dashboard to monitor system behavior, and how TeamViewer’s Live Remote-Control function can be used to troubleshoot and manage the device remotely.

On Wednesday, 27th June, at 14:10, PTC IoT specialist, Bart Jonkers, will present the Next Steps in Smart Manufacturing, describing how smart manufacturing provides organisations with increased clarity into what is happening on the factory floor – from connecting previously siloed data sources to unleashing machine learning, predictive analytics and real value made possible through Augmented Reality.
