Tenable®, Inc. and ServiceNow, Inc. announced a Strategic Security Alliance between the Tenable Cyber Exposure Platform and ServiceNow® Security Operations, to simplify and accelerate the way enterprises and government organisations understand, manage, and reduce cyber risk.

The digital transformation of business has led to an explosion of technologies and computing platforms, creating massive blind spots in an organisation’s ability to accurately understand cyber risk. To compound the issue, organisational silos separate security and IT teams, resulting in critical security issues being identified but not fixed in a timely manner.

Together, Tenable and ServiceNow Security Operations bring common visibility to organisations by automatically discovering IT, Cloud, and IoT assets, continually assessing these systems for vulnerabilities, linking vulnerabilities with an asset’s business criticality, and prioritising issues based on this data to accelerate remediation.

Joint customers can run automated workflows to solve their most vulnerable items first, saving time and reducing potential exposure related to the vulnerability. In addition, the integration can trigger an automatic re-assessment of the asset to provide validation that the issues were sufficiently resolved, creating a complete, closed-loop remediation process.

“We’re delighted to work with ServiceNow to provide our joint customers with broader visibility and deeper insight into their Cyber Exposure so they can understand and reduce cyber risk holistically across their entire attack surface, from IT to Cloud and Containers to IoT devices,” said Dave Cole, chief product officer, Tenable.“Bridging the gap between Security and IT is the only way to tackle this growing problem in today’s modern digital enterprise.”

“Security teams can’t declare ‘mission accomplished’ after the vulnerability scan alone,” said Sean Convery, general manager of ServiceNow’s security business. “Together, Tenable and ServiceNow give customers an understanding of business impact and security risk, so patching and other response actions can have maximum impact and accelerate remediation.”

The integration is available today between Tenable SecurityCentre® and ServiceNow Security Operations on the ServiceNow Store and it will be available between Tenable.io™ and ServiceNow Security Operations later in 2018. The companies intend to support use cases for enhanced issue resolution, configuration compliance and expanded asset support.

ServiceNow and Tenable will be showcasing their partnership and integration at Edge 2018, Tenable’s inaugural user conference from March 6-9, 2018 in Los Angeles and Knowledge®18, ServiceNow’s user conference from May 7-10, 2018 in Las Vegas. For more information on the integration, click here.
