Connected car services vendor Bright Box expands into Europe

Bright Box, a vendor of connected vehicle services, is expanding into Europe. The company recently established an office in Budapest, Hungary.

Bright Box plans to offer full support to its European customers and partners and so has employed an operations manager, Alpár Demeny, for the Budapest office to enhance relationships.

Demeny‘s role will be to build and integrate into the current international Bright Box operations a multidisciplinary organisation in Budapest serving the European customers.

This will start from efficient product support and maintenance, through the new customised product development sector, ending with core platform product development and researches.

With Robert Schuessler, VP for Europe who is responsible for the company’s sales and business development, the two will be managing all aspects of the European business.

Alpár Demeny

Alpár Demény comes to Bright Box following his experience at NNG, a global company that develops next generation navigation and infotainment systems. There he was responsible for a developer’s centre in Hungary and a business unit that was developing products for big original equipment makers (OEMs) such as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group, Jaguar Land Rover Group, Toyota, Yamaha, and Harley-Davidson.

He has more than 10 years’ experience in the automotive world in varying leadership positions. While working at Knorr-Bremse Group, he worked timeously to deliver complex product to clients such as Daimler, Volvo-Renault Trucks, DAF, Hyundai Companies.

Ivan Mishanin

CEO of Bright Box, Ivan Mishanin said: “At the end of February, Bright Box launched the MyHonda Connected Car solution in six European countries. Sales of new connected cars can start within three to six months of our contract being signed.

Bright Box will continue to increase capacity to serve our automotive customers and tier one suppliers based in Europe. We are very excited to bring these talented managers on board to further strengthen our customer deployments and relationships”.
